Overview of project/skills required:
We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to lead the design and integration of digital banking and mobile platforms for a growing regional bank. This role will sit within the CIO office and provide architectural leadership across digital channels, mobile applications, customer experience, and back-end integration with core systems. You will collaborate closely with product, technology, and vendor partners to shape scalable, secure, and customer-centric solutions.
1. ARGO Systems experience (will have banking/financial background)
2. Experience integrating with core banking systems (non-specific, but core banking systems (e.g., Jack Henry, FIS, Fiserv) and third-party fintech APIs)
3. Ability to work independently and strong communication being remote
4. Experience needed: 6+ years
Key Responsibilities:
· Design end-to-end solution architectures for digital and mobile banking platforms (online banking, mobile apps, P2P payments, digital onboarding).
· Align solution design with business strategy, regulatory requirements, and enterprise architecture standards.
· Partner with product teams to evaluate functional and technical requirements and translate them into high-level designs.
· Lead vendor solution assessments and make build vs. buy recommendations.
· Define integration patterns across mobile apps, core banking, CRM, and third-party fintech APIs (e.g., RTP, FedNow, Zelle, card networks).
· Ensure architectural governance, documentation, and traceability from concept to implementation.
· Support cloud readiness, DevSecOps practices, and security by design for mobile banking solutions.
Qualifications:
· 10+ years of IT experience with 5+ years in solution architecture focused on digital banking and mobile platforms.
· Deep knowledge of retail banking products, mobile app architectures, and customer authentication flows.
· Experience with technologies such as native iOS/Android, API gateways, microservices, middleware (MuleSoft, Apigee, etc.).
· Strong understanding of security, compliance (e.g., FFIEC, PCI), and fraud prevention in mobile banking.
· Experience integrating with core banking systems (e.g., Jack Henry, FIS, Fiserv) and third-party fintech APIs.
· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Preferred:
· Experience working in a regional or community bank environment
· Familiarity with FedNow, RTP, and embedded finance solutions
· Certification in TOGAF, AWS/Azure architecture, or similar frameworks
