This individual will own the IAM program, be on top of the latest technology, be aware of the IAM best practices, innovative technical solutions, threats facing the organization, and the state of the enterprise user directory, as well as support change. The IAM manager will also have to address the compliance requirements of the County by ensuring the appropriate policies that support regulations are in place and enforced as part of the IAM program management.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Develop and implement the IAM program with policies and procedures.
- Manage user access to systems, applications, and data.
- Monitor compliance with policies, regulations, and customer requirements.
- Perform risk assessments and audits.
- Investigate incidents and recommend corrective actions.
- Train users on policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure secure access to systems and data.
- Document processes and procedures.
- Escalates and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Document security requirements and controls for protecting information, systems, and technology assets.
- Define and document how the implementation of a new technology impacts the security posture of the current environment.
- Document and update as necessary all definition and architecture activities.
- Provide input on security requirements to be included in request for proposals (RFPs), statements of work (SOWs), and other procurement documents.
- Communicate current and emerging security threats to project team members.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education, Experience and Training:
- Bachelor’s degree or better in computer science or a related field.
- Professional certification such as Certified Identity and Access Manager (CIAM) or Certified Identity Management Professional (CIMP)
- Five (5) 5 years of experience in IAM or a related field.
- Strong technical skills, including experience with identity and access management solutions.
- Familiarity with best practices and compliance standards.
- Strong project management skills.
- Knowledge of dynamic and high-level languages such as PowerShell or Python.
- Experience with SQL databases.
- Experience in IT security or associated fields.
- At least three years of experience in a management role.

Work Conditions
- 40-hour hybrid.
- Remote but candidates must be in Dallas, Texas.
